I Virtual Time sono una Rock band di Bassano del Grappa, fondata definitivamente nel 2012 da Alessandro Meneghini e Luca Gazzola, rispettivamente batterista e chitarrista, e consolidata successivamente con l’arrivo del bassista Marco Lucchini e del cantante Filippo Lorenzo Mocellin. I quattro iniziano immediatamente a sperimentare e a cercare il feeling e l'intensa necessari per creare il loro sound personale, che li porterà alla successiva composizione delle loro prime canzoni. Lo stile e le influenze della band sono riconducibili alle sonorità degli anni 70 in tutte le loro varianti: dall'Hard Rock dei Led Zeppelin e dei Deep Purple, al Progressive Rock dei King Crimson e dei Pink Floyd, passando per il Folk Rock dei CCR e CSN&Y, toccando sound anche più moderni ed Alternative come quelli dei Muse.
Il lato più aggressivo della band è rappresentato dal primo EP, “Getting Twisted”. Tre brani che si susseguono in un concentrato di energia Hard Rock, potenti riff di chitarra ed una voce graffiante, mixati ad un basso ed una batteria sempre incisivi. Nell'Aprile del 2014 hanno promosso “Getting Twisted” anche in Spagna, suonando otto concerti nelle principali città, quali Barcellona, Madrid, Cordova, Malaga, Murcia.
Nella Primavera 2015, dopo un tour lungo tutta la penisola italiana, la band inizia la registrazione del suo primo full length all'Hate Recording Studio, con l'aiuto del produttore artistico Federico Nardelli. Dopo due settimane di intenso lavoro il disco è finalmente pronto e a Dicembre il primo singolo estratto dall’album, “Fire World II”, ed il videoclip che lo accompagna, sono in premiere su Rockit.it. A Gennaio 2016 “Fire World II” diventa ‘The Rocket’, la novità più importante della settimana di Virgin Radio Italy e a Febbraio i Virtual Time vengono scelti da MTV New Generation come band ‘Just Discovered’. La release ufficiale del nuovo album, intitolato “Long Distance”, avviene il 12 Marzo, ed è seguita da un’intensa attività live (oltre 60 concerti) in Italia per promuovere il nuovo disco. Nel corso dello stesso anno, i Virtual Time pubblicano il vinile del loro primo LP, entrano nella Top 10 della Live Parade di KeepOn (categoria New Live) per il mese di Novembre e vincono il ‘Hard Rock Café Vinyl Contest’ indetto dall’Hard Rock Café di Venezia.
A Febbraio del 2017 pubblicano il secondo singolo estratto dal loro album di debutto, “Waves Are Calling”.
I primi mesi dello stesso anno vedono subentrare Marco Pivato al basso, il quale accompagnerà la band come componente stabile nella rimanente parte del tour promozionale, che a Dicembre li vedrà protagonisti per la prima volta in Olanda, e, a causa di un improvviso e duraturo problema fisico, l’allontanamento dall’attività live del chitarrista Luca Gazzola. Con l’arrivo del 2018 la band inizia la composizione di nuovi pezzi, che risulteranno troppo numerosi per poterli inserire su un singolo LP. Da qui l’idea di pubblicare ben 5 dischi nel corso dello stesso anno, che verranno poi raccolti in un unico box set dal titolo “Pictures”. Ad Aprile, tramite un’apposita release party, viene presentato ufficialmente il primo capitolo dell’opera, “From The Roots To A Folded Sky”, a cui seguirà un tour promozionale in tutto il nord Italia. L’attività live della band verrà intervallata con nuove sessioni di registrazione in studio, che nell’Ottobre 2018 daranno alla luce il secondo album, “Animal Regression”. Il tour prosegue, e dall’Italia si sposta nuovamente in Olanda, che li vede tornare a distanza di un anno.

Virtual Time is an Italian Rock band from Bassano del Grappa (Vicenza, Italy), officially formed in 2012 by drummer Alessandro Meneghini and guitarist Luca Gazzola, whose line up completed by the following coming of bassist Marco Lucchini and lead vocalist Filippo Lorenzo Mocellin. The fours started immediately to experiment and to search the feeling and intensity needed to create their own sound, that will lead them to the writing of their first songs. Style and influences of the band are attributable to the sonorities of the 70’s in all their variations: from the Hard Rock of Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, to King Crimson and Pink Floyd’s Progressive Rock, passing through the Folk Rock of CCR and CSN&Y, also touching some modern and Alternative sounds like Muse.
The band’s most aggressive sound is represented by the first EP, “Getting Twisted”. Three tracks that follow each other in a concentrate of Hard Rock energy, powerful guitar riffs and scratchy vocals, mixed with an always incisive rhythm session. In April 2014 they promoteed “Getting Twisted” in Spain, playing eight concerts in the major cities such as Barcelona, Madrid, Cordova, Malaga, Murcia. In the Spring of 2015, after a long Italian tour, the band began recording their first full length at Hate Recording Studio with artistic producer Federico Nardelli. After two intense weeks of work the album is finally ready and in December the first single off the album, “Fire World II”, and its video clip, are premiered by Rockit.it. On January 2016 “Fire World II” becomes ‘The Rocket’, Virgin Radio Italy’s most notable news of the week and on February Virtual Time are chosen by MTV New Generation as the ‘Just discovered’ band.
The official release of the new album, entitled "Long Distance", takes place on March 12th, followed by an intense live activity (over 60 concerts) in Italy to promote it. During the same year, Virtual Time released the vinyl of their first LP, entered Live Parade of KeepOn’s Top 10 (New Live) for the month of November and won the ‘Hard Rock Café Vinyl Contest’ indicted by Hard Rock Café Venice. On February 2017 they released “Waves Are Calling”, the second single off their debut album. New year’s first months saw Marco Pivato take over as the new bassist, who will play with the band for the remaining part of the promotional tour (in Italy and in the Netherlands) and, due to a sudden and lasting physical problem, guitarist Luca Gazzola’s forced stop from the live activity. In 2018 the band began to compose new songs, which will be shared out in 5 LPs and gathered in a box set called “Pictures” on May 2019.
The first effort, “From The Roots To A Folded Sky”, will be release on April and will be followed by a promotional tour, interspersed by the recording studio work, which will give birth to the new “Animal Regression” on October.
